The crowning jewel of our center, it features rich partial wood paneling, original vintage hard wood flooring and vaulted ceilings with elegant, modern lighting. An exceptional space that can be personalized for any event. Parties, weddings, business functions, conferences and everything in-between. Delivered with perfection. Capacity 375. 

Every component – from the tables, to the tableware and the chair covers, can be customized to suit your every desire. Using soundproof partitions, we can also offer you the option of dividing the ballroom into three rooms, each serving 125 guests. The Grand Ballroom has multiple entrances, utilities, and audio-visual hook-ups. The main stage provides a space for entertainment along with access to a full state-of-the-art kitchen.

Chapel

The U.P.S.E.S. Chapel was completed and inaugurated in 1922. The design of the Chapel is a facsimile of those that exist on the island of Terceira, Azores and follows the design of the chapels of that era. The interior reflects the design of the chapels that were found in the tuna vessels of that era. Today, as it was intended in 1922, the Chapel is used to house the Crown of the Holy Spirit during the Festa do Espirito Santo celebrations. On Pentecost Sunday, devotees of the Holy Spirit visit the Chapel to pray and offer a donation of money or Portuguese sweetbread to assure the continuation of this time honored ethnic religious celebration.

The Chapel is also available, on a limited basis, for small weddings or vow renewals. This vintage setting is ideal for a unique and intimate ceremony!

Bar

Our nautical-themed bar is a perfect complement to our Ballroom and Small Banquet Room and is also ideal for more intimate, adult gatherings. The bar is equipped with flat screen televisions and can seat up to 75 people. Consider this space for team celebrations, Bachelor/Bachelorette parties, 21st Birthday parties, or Holiday parties. All guest must be 21 years of age or older.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

A refundable “security deposit” is due at contract signing to secure your date. Once it has been confirmed that all requirements have been met (i.e., clean up has been completed and there are no damages), the deposit will be returned.

Security Guards are required for any event with over 100 people, and anytime the Bar will be open for an event. The United Portuguese S.E.S., Inc. will make the necessary arrangements and provide you with an estimated cost.

The United Portuguese S.E.S. does not provide catering services, but our Hall Manager will be happy to offer recommendations.

The Bar can be rented independent of the other banquet rooms. The Bar is open to Adults only (age 21 years and older) – NO exceptions! If there is another event scheduled on that date, it will require the mutual consent of both parties the “share” the facility.

Use of our banquet tables and chairs, private, on-site parking, Wi-fi access and sound system.
